Random yoga pose wheel for a short home flow

Twelve basic poses, five breaths in each. Five spins is a ten minute sequence you can do on a mat at home.

Following a video means moving at somebody else's pace, and practising alone often means forgetting what you meant to do next. A pose wheel sits between the two: your own pace, but an order to follow. The twelve poses here are the basics that every beginner class teaches, and you should take out anything your body is not ready for before you start spinning.

How do I build a flow with the wheel?

Spin five to seven poses, hold each for five breaths, and finish lying down. The whole sequence takes about ten minutes.

  1. Remove poses that do not suit you

Delete anything your wrists, knees or back are not happy with, before the first spin.

  2. Spin and hold five breaths

Switch on remove after win so the sequence does not repeat a pose.

  3. Always finish lying down

Whatever the wheel gives you, add a few minutes of rest at the end yourself.

Random yoga pose questions

Is this suitable for beginners?

The twelve poses are all beginner staples, yes. But the wheel cannot correct your alignment and knows nothing about your body, so learn the shapes in a class or from a proper guide first and use the wheel for sequencing afterwards.

Is a random order safe?

With basic poses like these most orders are fine, as long as you warm up and do not drop straight into hip openers or backbends while cold. If your practice needs a specific progression, sequence it yourself rather than leaving it to a spin.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is a random picker over a list you control. If you are pregnant, injured or managing a spine condition, ask someone qualified before following any sequence.
