Station rotation wheel for group activities

Ten slices, ten stations. Each group spins once to find out where they start, and nobody waits while you read out a seating plan.

Station teaching only flows when moving groups between stations is quick. Spinning for it takes about a minute and stops two groups making for the same corner at once. The sample wheel holds ten common stations. Delete the ones you have not set up and rename the rest to match the corners of your room.

How do I send groups to stations with a wheel?

Each slice is one station. Remove after win is already on, so when each group spins once, two groups cannot be sent to the same station in the same round.

  1. Name the stations after your room

Keep as many slices as you have corners and rename them after the activity at each one.

  2. A taken station leaves the wheel

Remove after win is on from the start, so a station taken in this round is out of the draw.

  3. One spin per group

The group leader spins and reads the station out. Reload the page to start the next round with every station back.

Station rotation questions

What if I have more groups than stations?

Add a duplicate slice so two groups share a station, or add a wait one round slice for the group that has to sit out. The second keeps one group per station and makes it public who is waiting, which stops it feeling like a punishment.

How do I start the next rotation?

Reload the page and every station comes back, or type the removed stations in again. If you want a group to avoid a station they have already done, delete that station before they spin.

Can I save my room's station list?

Yes. Sign in and save the wheel under the lesson name, and the stations are there next time. The results tab also records which group went where, so you can keep track during the lesson.
