Who pays the bill wheel for the table tonight
Enter everyone's name, spin once, and whoever comes up takes the bill. Quicker than working out who had the extra side.
Splitting a bill line by line takes ten minutes and still leaves someone a little out of pocket. For a group that eats together often, one person paying each time and rotating is simpler, and it evens out. The wheel does the choosing part, in the open, in front of everyone. The sample list holds six names, so replace them with whoever actually showed up tonight.
How do we pick who pays?
Enter the names of everyone at the table, let them see the list, and spin once. The name that comes up covers this meal, and next time you start again.
- Enter tonight's names
One per line. Leave off anyone who is not part of the arrangement.
- Show the table the list
Hand the screen round so everyone sees the names before the spin. That is what makes the result stick.
- Note who has paid
Copy the results tab into the group chat, so next time you know whose turn has already come round.
Who pays wheel questions
Can the same person be picked twice in a row?
Yes, because each spin is independent. To rotate evenly instead, keep one wheel for the month, switch on remove after win in advanced settings, and spin once per meal until the names run out.
What if someone ordered far more than everyone else?
This works when the group eats similarly and meets often, since the cost evens out across meals. On a night when one person ordered twice as much, splitting by item is still the fairer answer.
Could the person holding the phone rig it?
The pick happens in that browser and comes from crypto.getRandomValues, with no server step in between. The one thing they can change is the list of names, which is why passing the screen round before the spin is worth the two seconds.
