This wheel changed somewhere else

Another tab or device saved this wheel after you opened it. Load that version, or replace it with what is on screen.

Odd or even wheel to settle who goes first

Two equal slices and a spin that takes under five seconds. It replaces the coin toss when the whole room needs to see the result.

Every group game opens with the same question of who starts, and the quickest answer is a choice between two options. This wheel carries only odd and even, cut to exactly the same size, so nobody has to trust the person holding the coin. Use it in class, before a friendly match, or for a game at home, and rename the two slices to the team names if that reads better on your screen.

How do I use the odd or even wheel?

Agree which side takes odd and which takes even, then press spin. Whichever slice the pointer stops on goes first, with nothing else to press.

  1. Hand out odd and even

Settle it out loud before the spin so nobody reassigns it afterwards. You can rename the slices to team names.

  2. Spin once

Let the group watch the screen. The result appears in the result panel the moment the wheel stops.

  3. Start the round

To swap the advantage between rounds, spin again: both slices stay on the wheel after every result.

Odd or even wheel questions

Are both slices really equal?

Yes. Each one takes exactly half the wheel and neither carries a weight. The number behind the spin comes from crypto.getRandomValues inside your own browser, so both sides start from the same chance on every spin.

Can this replace a coin toss?

It can, and it works better with a crowd. A coin is only clearly visible to the person flipping it, while the wheel goes on a shared screen where everyone watches the pointer stop, which ends the argument before it starts.

What if I need more than two options?

Add slices right on this page and the wheel redivides itself evenly. If what you actually need is a number from a range, the number wheel page has a range box that builds the list for you in one step.
